We set out early, while the valley is still cool and the light is low across the terraces. Our local guide grew up on these paths and knows every spring, every shortcut and every family who will wave you into their courtyard for mint tea.
Routes are chosen on the morning according to the weather and the group. A half day follows the irrigation channels between the nearest hamlets; a full day climbs to a shoulder with a wide view over the Atlas ridgelines, with a long lunch under the walnut trees before an easy descent.
Bring walking shoes, a hat and a water bottle — we carry the rest.
