About Dar Tassa

A family house in the mountains

Dar Tassa guesthouse exterior

Dar Tassa — 'the small house' — sits in a quiet valley of the High Atlas, reached by a winding road from Marrakech. It began as a family home, and over the years it has grown into a retreat where guests come to slow down.

We are Amazigh, and the house is rooted in our culture: bread baked in the clay oven, tagines built from the garden, mint tea on the terrace. But we also welcome practices that help people rest — sound baths, yoga, Reiki, breathwork, the Bowen technique and shadow work.

There is no programme and no rush. Some guests come to walk the mountains, others to sit still. We shape each day together, around the weather, the season and how you feel when you wake.

Plan a quiet escape

Dar Tassa is a mountain guesthouse where guided walks, Amazigh cooking and holistic practices meet the slow rhythm of valley life.
